Judith F. Tartaglia, of counsel. Ms. Tartaglia's practice emphasizes civil litigation of closed head injury and other catastrophic injuries and insurance coverage disputes as well as mediation and arbitration. She is also local counsel for a national firm involved in food-borne illness cases.

Ms. Tartaglia was formerly Assistant General Counsel for The CIGNA Companies in the 11-state Mountain States and Pacific Northwest Regions. She is admitted to practice law in the Colorado state courts, U.S. District Court for Colorado and the District of Columbia.

Before embarking on her career in law, Ms. Tartaglia was the Assistant Director of Audiology and Speech Pathology at The Children's Hospital Denver where she evaluated and treated a variety of communication disorders including those that resulted from severe trauma. In this position, she supervised the staff speech pathologists and learning disabilities specialists, co-directed the cleft palate team and engaged in outcome research involving high-risk infants.

Ms. Tartaglia is a national consultant to several insurance companies in the areas of closed head injuries and pediatric injuries. She has taught seminars on the defense of closed head injuries and she has published in this area as well.

Ms. Tartaglia's publications include: Ms. Tartaglia is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Colorado Defense Lawyers Association, Colorado Council of Mediators and Mediation Organizations and the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She serves on the Colorado Bar Association's ADR Committee and she is a volunteer mediator in the Court Annexed Mediation Program for the Denver County Court.
